In the Philippines, as many as three million youth aged 16–24 are not in school, are not gainfully employed, and have not finished college or postsecondary education. As youth champion, SKILLS continues to roll out training to employment programs. SKILLS also participates in networks that assist the youth in addressing barriers to lifelong learning and professional success. For championing skills training and employability of the youth, SKILLS was recognized as People Program of the Year exemplar by the People Management Association of the Philippines.
