School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership and Service
On September 29, 2022, SKILLS celebrated the commencement of 80 young graduates from the USAID Opportunity 2.0 Training Program at MAAYO Hotel in Mandaue City. Dr. David M. Hall, Chief of Party for USAID Opportunity 2.0, graced the occasion as the honored guest speaker.
These out of school youth successfully completed the Work Ready Now (WRN) modules, including 21st Century Skills, Be Your Own Boss, and Work-based Learning. Moreover, they underwent comprehensive training in Masonry NC II, Plumbing NC II, Tile Setting NC II, Reinforcing Steel Works NC II, and System Formworks Installation NC II.
The USAID Opportunity 2.0 Training Program which was impletemented in SKILLS, empowered the graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue promising careers in the construction industry. The program provided them with the tools to become competitive in the job market and to contribute positively to the growth and development of their communities.
